Kids Cooking Green is a weekly, hands-on culinary program designed to educate children on nutrition, making healthy food choices, the benefits of using local ingredients, and what food means in a social context in our culture. Your child will have the opportunity to cook collaboratively with peers in small groups and independently on a multitude of carefully planned meals. Students will also learn about food preparation sanitation, safety skills, and how to be helpful and aware in the kitchen. At the end of the program, kids will have the opportunity to invite family and friends to a local meal that they have planned and prepared. This program is bound to instill a sense of wonder and electrify one’s desire to learn more about food.
Kids Cooking Green is coming to the Cabot After School Program in March! We're inviting Kindergarten-2nd grade children to come and cook with us in our 3 week, after school program from 1:30-3:00.
Are you a kid who loves food? Join us for 3 weeks of fun in the kitchen learning about local ingredients and create delicious snacks!
